About This Policy
This page explains what Right Away Garage Door Service (“Right Away,” “we,” “us”) learns about you when you visit ragaragedoorsrepair.com, call the number shown on it, or ask us for a repair. It covers this website and the service requests that come through it. Other websites we link to have their own policies.
What You Tell Us Directly
Most of what we hold is information you choose to give us so we can come and fix your door:
- Contact form. Your first and last name, email address, phone number and the message you write.
- Online booking. The service you need, your ZIP code, the date and arrival window you pick, your full name, phone number, email address, the service address, and any notes about the door.
- Phone calls and emails. Your number, the details you share about the problem, and anything you send us, such as photos of the door.
Please don’t put payment card numbers, gate codes or alarm codes in a form or email. Give those to your technician in person if they’re needed.
What Is Collected Automatically
Like most websites, ours receives some technical details whenever a page loads. These include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, and the site that sent you here. If you arrived from an ad or a tagged link, we may also record the campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source or a click ID from Google, Microsoft or Facebook), the first page you landed on, and the time of the visit.
Cookies and Similar Tools
- vl_attr is our own first-party cookie. It remembers how you found us (the campaign tags, landing page and referring site described above), so that if you book or send a form later, we know which ad or search brought you in. It expires after 90 days.
- Google Analytics / Google tag is loaded through Google Site Kit. It sets cookies such as
_gato count visits and see which pages people use. Google processes this data under its own terms. You can read how at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. - Essential site cookies come from WordPress and our page builder. They are needed for the site and forms to work properly.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, and you can always reach us by phone. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, use Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
What We Do With It
- Check whether we cover your ZIP code and offer appointment times.
- Call, text or email you about your request, your appointment, your estimate or work we’ve done.
- Send a technician to the right address with the right parts.
- Keep job records for warranty questions, billing and our own accounting.
- Learn which pages, searches and ads actually bring in customers, so we spend less on the ones that don’t.
- Protect the site from spam and abuse. The booking form includes a hidden anti-spam field for this.
We don’t add you to a marketing list just because you asked for a quote.
When Others See It
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed to run the business:
- with the technician or crew assigned to your job;
- with service providers that work for us, such as our web host (Bluehost), Google for site analytics, and the email and phone services we use to reply to you;
- with a parts supplier or manufacturer when a warranty claim needs it;
- when the law requires it, or to protect our customers, staff or business.
Text Messaging (SMS)
If you check the optional SMS consent box on one of our forms, we use your mobile number to send text messages about your appointment, scheduling and service updates through the Right Away Garage Door Service Appointment Updates program. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. The full program terms are in our Terms & Conditions.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your use of this SMS program is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://ragaragedoorsrepair.com/privacy-policy/.
How Long We Hold On to It
Form messages that never become a job are deleted once they’re no longer useful, normally within two years. Job and invoice records are kept as long as tax and warranty rules require. The vl_attr cookie expires after 90 days, and Google Analytics data follows the retention setting in our Google account.
Keeping It Safe
The site runs over HTTPS, admin access is limited to the people who manage it, and job details are shared only with the staff who need them. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise absolute security. If we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your Options
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to records we must keep by law. You can also tell us to stop contacting you. Just email us or say so on the phone. We’ll answer within 30 days.
Kids
This website is meant for adults arranging home repairs. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we’ll remove them.
If This Policy Changes
When we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top. Big changes will also be noted on the homepage for a while.
